Career preparation workshops set for Feb. 18 and 25

Two former members of the Erskine College staff will return to the campus this month to offer career preparation workshops for students.

Trent Payne, who served for several years in the Office of Student Development as Coordinator for Student Transitions, will lead a resumé writing workshop titled “Improve Your Chances of Getting the Job You Want” on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Bell Conference Room.

Dr. Robyn Agnew, a 1984 graduate of Erskine College who served as dean of students from 1996 to 2009 and vice president for student services from 2009 to 2014 will present a “Purpose Lab” Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Bell Conference Room. Described as “an interactive experience,” this event is for students who are considering what their next steps will be after graduation.

“The Alumni office is working in partnership with Student Development to host several career prep workshops throughout the semester,” says Coordinator of Alumni Relations Hope Crenshaw Seymour, a 2019 graduate.

Seating for both workshops is limited. Interested students are asked to email Hope.Crenshaw@erskine.edu to reserve their spots.
