Kelly McAlhaney is a South Carolina native with a lifelong background in horses, rodeo, and Western disciplines. The daughter of a horse trainer, she grew up around training and competition and continues to compete in rodeo and Western events today.

McAlhaney is also the mother of three children who competed in rodeo from an early age through the collegiate level. She continues her family’s AQHA breeding program, raising horses for competition, along with sheep and roping stock.

As Head Rodeo Coach, McAlhaney brings a lifetime of practical experience with horses, livestock, and rodeo to helping student-athletes develop their horsemanship and competitive skills.
