T. Kani Garren

Mrs. Garren graduated from Erskine College in 1990 with a degree in elementary education and later completed certification in special education. She is married to her husband, Michael Garren (Erskine Class of 1992). They have been married for over 30 years. She began her degree teaching in Greenwood, SC. After 3 years, she moved to Columbia, SC and taught for 7 years. She and her husband moved back to the Upstate and Mrs. Garren began teaching in the Greenville area. The last 10 years of her teaching career, she served as an Instructional Coach in Greenville. Mrs. Garren got her master’s degree in education from Southern Wesleyan University in 2005.
Personal Interests
Mrs. Garren and her husband, Michael, have 1 son, Jonah, who graduated in 2026 from Erskine College. They live in Simpsonville, SC. She loves to read, watch crime shows, and travel.
