Profile
Dr. Jessica Minor is Dean of the School of Mathematics and Science. She earned an M.A. in Bioethics from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, and a Ph.D. in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her dissertation, Informed Consent in Predictive Genetic Testing: A Revised Model, was subsequently published as a book by Springer. She also holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, and Project Management.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Erskine College in 2026, Minor served as the founding Dean of the School of Health Professions at Bob Jones University, where she led a growing school serving more than 500 students across a range of health-related disciplines. During her tenure, she oversaw the development and expansion of academic programs, guided multiple programs through professional accreditation processes, recruited and developed faculty, and helped lead an approximately $8 million expansion of health professions facilities and programs. Her previous academic appointments include adjunct faculty at UConn Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut, and affiliate faculty with Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Her professional interests include strengthening connections among higher education, workforce needs, and community engagement to better prepare students for professional practice.
Professional & Community Service
Minor is also actively engaged in professional and community service throughout the Upstate. She currently serves on the Bon Secours St. Francis Ethics Committee and the Upstate Human Trafficking Task Force. Her previous community service includes volunteering with SWITCH and serving on the Board of Directors of the Urban League of the Upstate.
