Rev. Seth J. Nelson is the Dean of Erskine Theological Seminary and serves as Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology and Educational Leadership. He is an ordained minister in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC), having previously served for ten years in pastoral ministry in two local congregations. He loves to teach and pastor (new and developing) pastors, by exploring together how to facilitate the formation of Kingdom-hearted, gospel-loving disciples of Jesus Christ. His research explores how seminary faculty serve as facilitators of their student’s whole-person transformation toward maturity in Christ. Seth lives in Greenville with his wife, Heather, and their twin daughters. He enjoys reading theology and science fiction, fitness, bike rides with the family, and board games.
