Two Erskine College athletes, rising senior Ford Blanchard of Orangeburg and 2014 graduate Corin Hallman of Mount Pleasant, have been recognized for their achievements this summer.

Blanchard, a member of the Men’s Golf Team, was one of 30 players to qualify for the South Carolina Golf Association’s 83rd Amateur Championship. The SCGA Amateur Championship will take place July 31-Aug. 3 at the Reserve Golf Club on Pawley’s Island.

During the 2013-14 season, Men’s Golf won its first-ever conference title and Blanchard earned All-Conference honors. He was featured in The TandD.com, an online publication of the Orangeburg Times and Democrat.
