Anna Raquel Robison, an Erskine College senior from Isle of Palms, S.C., was selected to receive a UPS Scholarship provided by the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) and its national partner, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

At the national level, CIC teams up with the UPS Foundation to distribute funding of the UPS Scholarship. Through the program this year, SCICU awarded $52,000 in UPS Scholarships to 20 students at private institutions across South Carolina.

The UPS Foundation has supported South Carolina independent colleges through SCICU for 42 years.

 

The Council of Independent Colleges is an association of 765 nonprofit independent colleges and universities and higher education affiliates and organizations that has worked since 1956 to support college and university leadership, advance institutional excellence, and enhance public understanding of private higher education’s contributions to society. CIC also provides support to state associations that organize programs and generate contributions for their member colleges and universities, including SCICU.
