Gem and mineral exhibit returns to Bowie Arts Center

Erskine’s Bowie Arts Center welcomes the Upper Abbeville Gem and Mineral Exhibit as it makes a return visit to Erskine. The show continues through Wednesday, Nov. 7 and is free and open to the public.

Four local mines—the Ellis Mine, the Cunningham Farm, the Diamond Hill Mine, and the Ashley Farm—are represented in the exhibit. John Rhodes of Carolina Explorations, a longtime collector of minerals, will offer a display, and Teresa Kemp of the South Carolina Wild Heritage Center is also a presenter.

Bowie Arts Center hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with other hours available by appointment.

For further information, please call Bowie Arts Center Director Ruth Burton at 864-379-8867.
