Erskine RUF hymn sing event draws more than 300

A large crowd gathered outside Due West Sunday to enjoy a mild fall evening, a catered barbecue and chicken supper from Skinner’s, and the music of Jeremy Casella and Emily Deloach of Indelible Grace at this year’s RUF Erskine Barbecue and Hymn Sing.

Erskine students, prospective students, faculty and staff members, and alumni were joined by visitors from Reformed University Fellowship at Clemson University and Anderson University as well as church youth groups for the hymn sing event, the 10th one during the past 15 years.

Fifteen years ago, on September 5, 2003, the first Sunday night Bible study and cookout was held at “the Barn” on Erskine Chaplain Paul Patrick’s property, and what is now called “RUF at the Barn” has continued ever since.
