Chi Little Sisters’ P.A.W.S. Rescue Run nets more than $1,800

Crowd gathers near Galloway for the Rescue Run.

A 5K “Rescue Run” hosted by the Chi Little Sisters April 7 raised more than $1,800 for P.A.W.S. (Pets Are Worth Saving), the largest no-kill animal shelter in the upstate and home to more than 150 cats and dogs. The Rescue Run was the third large-scale service project hosted this year by the Chi Little Sisters, and the event drew some 130 participants.

Current Chi Little Sisters officers are Sheridan Butcher, president; Abby Schmidt, vice president; and Sara Dooley, treasurer. Eighteen members took part in the run through Due West. Marissa Catania and Marah Branham served as photographers for the event.

Chi Little Sisters went to P.A.W.S. to present the proceeds of the Rescue Run.
