Fall arts events set

Memorial Hall

Opportunities to enjoy talented performances abound at Erskine this year. Erskine students and faculty members, along with a number of guest artists, will be gracing the Memorial Hall stage and appearing in other venues throughout the year.

A presentation by Associate Professor of Music Dr. J. Brooks Kuykendall, who offers “Handel’s ‘Water Musick’ and the Birth of the Orchestra” Monday, Sept. 3, starts the semester’s series of events.

Other highlights of this first half of the academic year include two appearances by the New York Chamber Soloists Oct. 9 (a demonstration at convo and a concert later in the evening); the Fall Choral Concert Oct. 26; the Fall Play Nov. 8-10; Sinfonia and Jazz Band Nov. 17; and “An Erskine Christmas” Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
