If you’re interested in asking life’s big questions alongside other motivated college students, we invite you to apply to the Honors Institute. To be considered for the Honors Institute, you must first complete an application to Erskine College. Learn more about the process below.

Submit Your Letter of Interest

Once you have been accepted to Erskine College, submit a letter of interest to Honors Institute Director Dr. Dennis Kinlaw: kinlaw@erskine.edu. In your letter, please explain what specifically interests you in the program and what you hope to gain from it.

Participate in a Confirmation Conversation

If you’re selected to continue in the Honors Institute application process, the honors director will invite you for a conversation, either remotely or on campus.

Submit Your Letter of Intent and Deposit

If you are accepted into the Honors Institute, you will be notified by the director. To secure your spot, please complete these two steps:

  • Submit a letter of intent to the honors director. Simply email the honors director and briefly state that you wish to join the Honors Institute at Erskine.
