Profile

Dr. Ekaterina Michonova graduated from Sofia University in Bulgaria with her M.S. and A.B.D. in Physics. She worked as a research associate at the Institute of Biophysics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. After spending a year in Japan, she relocated to New York in 1995.

In 2002, Michonova received her Ph.D. in Biophysics from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University. She joined the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Erskine College in 2007. Currently, she is teaching Physics and Astronomy.
