Erskine’s chamber orchestra of 20-or-more string, woodwind,
brass, and percussion players, conducted by Dr. Brooks Kuykendall.

Jazz Band:

Conducted by Professor Sean Brown, the Jazz Band consists of
brass and woodwind players as well as a rhythm section.

Chamber Music:

String Quartet, Piano Trio, and Woodwind Quintet are a few
of the options available to instrumentalists wishing to participate in
chamber music.


Auditioned mixed choir of 40 voices, conducted by Dr. Mark Nabholz.  The Choraleers tour annually either in the US or abroad. The Choraleers sing challenging sacred and secular literature from the past five centuries.  More information on our Choraleers Site: http://www.choraleers.erskine.edu

Chamber Singers:

Auditioned mixed ensemble of 12-20 voices, conducted by Dr.Mark Nabholz, open to members of the Choraleers. Sacred and popular repertoire.

Women’s Chorale:

A non-auditioned women’s chorus, conducted by Dr.
Mark Nabholz. The Women’s Chorale performs sacred and secular repertoire on-and-off campus.


A student-led men’s a cappella choir that performs sacred and
popular repertoire.

Gospel Choir:

A volunteer choir of 60-or-more singers which performs
sacred gospel music. Erskine’s Gospel Choir is a ministry that is
conducted by Ms. Tobe Frierson, Director of Admissions.

Opera Workshop:

One annual production from the operatic and musical
theatre repertoire.  Direction provided by Professor Lucia Svatonova.
