Erskine College launches Charter Institute Success Scholarship

Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, Erskine College will offer the Charter Institute Success Scholarship, a $100,000, four-year award, to eligible seniors from Charter Institute at Erskine schools.

“The caliber of students graduating from Charter Institute schools is inspiring, and we look forward to welcoming these students into the Erskine family,” says Erskine College President Dr. Steve Adamson. “This scholarship enables more of these qualified students to receive an exceptional college education.”

To qualify for the Charter Institute Success Scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and must graduate from a school authorized by the Charter Institute at Erskine. The $100,000 scholarship will be awarded to recipients over the course of four years.

“Erskine highly values Charter Institute at Erskine students because of their character, abilities, and high potential,” says Senior Director of Enrollment Gabe Hollingsworth, adding, “They are also a good cultural fit in the Erskine community. We want to make Erskine College affordable for them.”

Cameron Runyan, Superintendent of the Charter Institute at Erskine, is pleased by the launch of the new award. “We are excited to initiate this incredible partnership with Erskine College that will open new avenues to higher education for students in our state,” he says.

“For seniors in Charter Institute schools interested in attending Erskine College, this new scholarship program provides a great opportunity to stay in state and make college much more affordable,” Runyan says.

“We are grateful to Dr. Steve Adamson, Erskine’s Board of Trustees, and administration leaders who have made this scholarship a reality.”
