Erskine College lowers published tuition and required fees to $29,000 beginning Fall 2027
Lower published price will give families a clearer starting point for understanding the cost of an Erskine education.
DUE WEST, S.C. — Erskine College will lower its annual published undergraduate tuition and required fees from $36,710 to $29,000 beginning in Fall 2027, giving students and families a simpler, more transparent starting point for evaluating Erskine’s affordability.
Erskine provides generous institutional scholarships, and many students also qualify for state and federal grants and scholarships. As a result, the college’s current published price is substantially higher than the amount many families pay after scholarships and grants. The tuition reset will narrow that gap and make Erskine’s affordability easier to recognize from the beginning of the college search.
“This is about clarity,” said Erskine President Dr. Steve Adamson. “Families should have a useful starting point when considering college. This reset makes our published price more meaningful and underscores Erskine’s commitment to both affordability and an excellent, distinctly Christian education.”
The new $29,000 annual published price includes $26,500 in tuition and a $2,500 required institutional service fee. Housing, meal plans, books, and course-specific fees are separate.
The updated price will apply to new and returning full-time undergraduate students. Erskine will continue to award institutional scholarships, and eligible students may also receive state, federal, and other financial aid. As part of the reset, institutional scholarship amounts for returning students will be adjusted to reflect the lower published price. Assuming comparable enrollment status and eligibility for grants and scholarships, most returning students are expected to see a modest reduction in net tuition and required fees. Each returning student will receive an individualized financial aid update before Fall 2027 billing begins.
Erskine’s financial strength enables the college to make this change while continuing to invest in academic programs, campus facilities, and the student experience.
