Erskine welcomes classical educators

Classical educators will visit the Due West campus of Erskine College Friday, Feb. 28, for a conference featuring notable speakers Andrew Kern and Dr. Christopher Perrin.

Andrew Kern is the founder and president of the CiRCE Institute, which serves classical educators through research, consulting, and development of integrated resources. He is the coauthor, with Dr. Gene Edward Veith, of Classical Education: The Movement Sweeping America and is the primary author of The Lost Tools of Writing, a classical rhetoric and writing resource.

Dr. Christopher Perrin is the cofounder and CEO of Classical Academic Press, a classical education curriculum, media and consulting company. He is the author of The Greek Alphabet Code Cracker and Greek for Children and is the coauthor of the Latin for Children series.

Students in grades 8 through 12 who are accompanying attendees will enjoy sessions with Erskine faculty members as well as other activities during the conference.
