Profile
Dr. Catherine White attended Presbyterian College, where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science. She later earned both an M.S. and a Ph.D. from Clemson University in Mathematical Sciences.
White joined the faculty at Erskine College in the fall of 2012. She teaches a variety of Mathematics courses ranging from the core curriculum level to senior seminar. Additionally, she serves as the coordinator for dual degree programs, which include the Engineering and Actuarial Science programs completed in conjunction with Clemson University.
Awards and Affiliations
In 2026, White received Erskine’s Younts Excellence in Teaching award. During the 2019-20 academic year, she was chosen as the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Excellence in Teaching Award winner for Erskine College.
White is a member of several mathematics honor societies and regularly attends the Mathematical Association of America Southeastern Section annual conference.
