Ways to Give
Thank you for your interest in supporting Erskine! Your gifts make a profound impact on students both now and for the rest of their lives. An Erskine education is more than just a degree. It’s a transformative experience. We guide students as they grow in knowledge and faith, becoming who God has called them to be.
There’s more than one way to give!
Explore the giving options below to find out how your support can provide financial benefits to both Erskine and you.
Cash Donations
A straightforward way to support Erskine is through a check or credit card donation. Contributions may be tax-deductible, allowing you to lower your taxable income. You can also set up regularly scheduled contributions debited from your bank account or charged to your credit card. Visit erskine.edu/giving/ to explore options for cash gifts.
Gifts of Stocks
Donating appreciated stock can be a tax savvy move, especially if your gift to Erskine will be $1,000 or more. You can avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value while still receiving a charitable deduction based on the stock’s full market value. Contact the Advancement Office to learn more!
Planned Gifts and Wills
Consider including Erskine College in your estate plans. By setting up a bequest in your will, you can leave an enduring legacy while potentially reducing taxes on your estate. Your will can direct that Erskine receive a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or designated assets. Contact the Advancement Office for more information!
Charitable Remainder Trusts
These trusts make it possible for you to donate assets while retaining income from them during your lifetime. Upon your passing, the remaining assets go to Erskine. You receive a tax deduction at the time the trust is set up, and the assets held in the trust are not liable to estate taxes. Interested? Contact Erskine’s Advancement Office.
