Garnet & Gold Forum 2025 set for Oct. 17

Joe AllenErskine’s fourth annual Garnet & Gold Forum is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17 in the Bowie Arts Center on the Erskine College campus.

Joe Allen (shown at right), author of Dark Aeon: Transhumanism and the War Against Humanity, will serve as this year’s speaker.

Drawing on his recent work addressing transhumanism and the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Allen will focus on the topic of truth and education in the age of AI.

He will lay out the positive case for AI in education—efficiency, customization, and a sense of independence—as well as the dangers of outsourcing one’s intelligence to machines. Allen makes the case for preserving human culture in the face of ongoing change.

The Garnet & Gold Forum, hosted by Erskine College, is an annual event exploring Christian thinking in a secular society.
