Ralph Lundy Field

Project Summary
Positive growth in Fleet Athletics led to a critical need for more field space and improved facilities. Huggins Field was once shared by the men’s and women’s soccer teams while Fleet Football occupied a small 80-yard practice field. Ralph Lundy Field provided a new home for the Fleet soccer teams, along with space for intramurals. Football has been able to move from the practice field to the more spacious Huggins Field. The new and improved soccer venue is helping our coaches recruit and retain talented student-athletes that the Fleet needs to be successful.
A new field has now been established, but more work remains to be done!
The field is named for coaching legend Ralph Lundy, who led Flying Fleet Soccer to seven district titles and three NAIA Tournaments in the 1970s and 80s. His legacy continues today in our men’s and women’s soccer teams.
Ralph Lundy Field benefits at least 250 current students and hundreds more for years to come!
