Profile:

Suzy Murray is from Wheeling, WV but was raised in Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. Her B.A. degree is in Business Communications from UNC-W and her Master’s degree in HR is from Clemson University. Suzy has maintained a PHR certification since 1999 and holds a variety of teaching and business certifications related to lean processes, assessment, and training. She also co-owned and operated multiple retail businesses for over 31 years. Her academic and professional focus centers on the application of real-world business skills combined with service to the community. She is passionate about student engagement and preparing students for success in future education, careers, and leadership in their communities.

Professor Murray is an active member of Young Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Anderson, S.C.

Suzy has two adult sons, Trace and Tyler, and a rescue dog named TD. Outside the classroom she enjoys golf, reading, traveling, and watching all sports with football a particular favorite. She is a lifetime “terrible towel” waver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and a decades long fan of the Clemson Tigers. Whenever possible she attends the Atlanta Braves games, the Masters, and any minor-league baseball game when available.
