Livingstone Pre-Med Academy is a summer program for college students, both Erskine students and those from other institutions. The academy includes four online summer course offerings and an optional in-person component. Any student taking at least one of the four summer courses is welcome to register for the on-campus portion.

Available Courses

  • Biology 200: Mechanisms of Disease
  • Biology 230: Introduction to Global Health
  • Health Science 204: Introduction to Pharmacology
  • Biology 444: Case Studies in Medicine
The cost for summer courses is $425 per credit hour.

Instructions for online course application:

  1. Click the “Register: Erskine Online Courses” button below. You will be redirected to Erskine’s apply page.
  2. Click the “Start Application” button
  3. Select “Dual Enrollment/Non-degree Seeking Application”
  4. Create an account and then fill in the requested information, including the name of the course you want to take (under “course interest”)
  5. Upload your teacher or guidance counselor recommendation
  6. Submit the form

In-person Sessions

These hands-on experiences cover topics of interest to aspiring medical students, which include taking a history and basic physical examination skills. Dates for in-person sessions:
  • July 29
  • July 31
  • August 5
  • August 7
