Profile
Michael Shiles is a 2006 graduate of Erskine College, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and philosophy. He returned to Erskine professionally in 2022 and now oversees the Finance Division and the college’s financial operations as Controller.
Professional Experience
Shiles brings more than 18 years of professional experience across a variety of industries, including higher education, manufacturing, retail and e-commerce, and banking. His experience with publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, and nonprofit institutions has provided him with a broad perspective on financial and business operations across organizations of varying sizes and structures.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Shiles enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and playing board games. He also enjoys running, hiking, and getting outdoors whenever possible to recharge.
